About Me

Heather Harrison, senior communication major concentrating in public relations and broadcast & digital journalism.
My name is Heather, and I'm a student at Mississippi State University. I'm passionate about journalism, videography, public relations, grammar, dogs, and sweet treats.
I am the former editor-in-chief of The Reflector, MSU's student newspaper. I worked at The Reflector from fall 2020 to spring 2023 as a staff writer, news editor, then editor-in-chief. I have loved writing and reading since I began learning as a child, and I believe it is my duty to report facts and real stories about community issues.
I will graduate from MSU in May 2023 with a major in communication and concentrations in public relations and broadcast journalism.
I have received multi-media journalism awards from the Mississippi Press Association and the Southeastern Journalism Conference, including 5th place College Journalist of the Year at SEJC 2023.
